March 2023 News

The number of children being served through our Children’s Ministry has increased greatly in 2023. Twenty-seven children (pre-school through fifth grade) are now attending children’s programming (Sunday School, Children’s Message during worship, Wonderkids! on Wednesdays, and the nursery) one or more times per week. It is wonderful to see the eagerness and enjoyment the children have in the activities here at the church.

Our Sunday School format has changed slightly as Ms. Gabrielle is now providing ten  minutes of music time before we have our large group Bible story time and our small group Bible study classes. This is in addition to the 30 minute music time on Wednesday evenings.

Our Sunday School classes worked together on a service project in February. We created “thinking of you cards” to be shared with the Art Helps Cancer project. The cards will be included in care baskets given to childhood cancer patients.

Looking ahead, we are planning for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 1 and our Vacation Bible School on July 16-20. Watch for details about how you can help!

At NFUMC, our goal is to provide a foundation of experiences on which children build a life of learning and growth toward a mature and vital faith.  We would love to have you join us.

Worship at NFUMC

Children are welcomed and encouraged to worship with us at NFUMC!

There are children's bulletins at each entrance to the Sanctuary for them to use during worship.

Children are always welcome in our Sanctuary but we do have a Nursery for infants through age 3 located on the second floor of the Education Wing. From the Sanctuary, exit by the rear entrance door on the left side of altar area,  turn right, and follow the “nursery” signs. The live stream of worship is available in the room.

Blended Worship: 8:30am
Includes a children's message and children's church during the sermon.

Sunday School: 9:45am
Children up through grade 5 will meet together in the Education Wing, then split into groups by age. Parents are asked to pick their children up in their classrooms at 10:35am.

Traditional Worship: 10:45am
Includes a children's message and children's church during the sermon.
