Children's Ministry

Nolensville First United Methodist Church has an active Children’s Department, serving kids from birth through fifth grade. At NFUMC, our goal is to provide a foundation of experiences on which children build a life of learning and growth toward a mature and vital faith. We would love to have you join us!

Here is our weekly programming:

  • Our Nursery is available for kids through age 3 during both of our worship services and during the Sunday school hour.

  • Kids are invited to the front of the sanctuary for a children’s message during both services on most Sundays. Following the children’s message, those in Pre-K through 2nd grade are invited to leave for worship activities outside of the sanctuary and return before the end of the service. Kids in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade are offered activity boxes to help them stay focused throughout the sermon.

  • We have four Children’s Sunday School classes that meet from 9:45 until 10:35 in our Sunday School wing. All ages come together in a large group for a Bible story, then move to smaller age-based groups for activities related to the Bible story.

  • Our churchwide GROW dinner on Wednesdays begins at 5:30, and there is a short children’s music time between dinner and WonderKids! hour. Our WonderKids! program meets from 6:30 to 7:30 PM on Wednesdays, with all ages in the Journey classroom. The hour includes sharing time, prayer, themed videos related to the weekly Bible topic with active discussions, a craft, and/or game, and a snack.

Worship at NFUMC

Children are welcomed and encouraged to worship with us at NFUMC!

There are children's bulletins at each entrance to the Sanctuary for them to use during worship.

Children are always welcome in our Sanctuary but we do have a Nursery for infants through age 3 located on the second floor of the Education Wing. From the Sanctuary, exit by the rear entrance door on the left side of altar area,  turn right, and follow the “nursery” signs. The live stream of worship is available in the room.
