On August 25, Troop 298 conducted its first Court of Honor under the covid-19 guidelines and the Troop is happy to report that eighteen rank advancements and 57 merit badges were awarded at the ceremony. The scouts of Troop 298 have been able to continue to work on their advancement and merit badges during the pandemic, which was reflected in the amount of ranks and merit badges that the Troop members earned. The Court of Honor was conducted as a drive through, so the Troop was able to maintain a safe environment, while still allowing the scout families to recognize the accomplishments of their scouts. The Troop has also conducted their fall elections, and the new scout leaders are in their newly elected positions and ready to serve in those roles over the next six months.
