Mission to Guatemala

For the past few years, teams of missionaries have represented our church as Volunteers in Mission, joining the West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church in Guatemala doing a combination of construction and Bible School. They have worked on churches, built homes, and even put major additions on a school while taking time to spread the gospel and be in fellowship with families who live in extreme poverty. Interest is growing in the area of global missions and we have approximately tenyouth and adults who have expressed interest in going this summer. In the past, our missionaries have had to cover their own expenses. 

 

Since there are so many this year, we wish to earn our funding as a mission team - working together as a single body.  Our first event is a “Taste of Chili Competition.” We need you to enter your favorite crock pot of chili and to come "taste" the entries as we crown our category winners. Mark Saturday, February 26, 4-6pm, on your family calendar, and plan of a great evening of fellowship!
